AMAP™-ADS – the ultralight "Hard-Kill" protection

AMAP-ADS is an active protection system suitable for light to heavy vehicles. Attacks from various threats are detected and intercepted in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle – before they reach their target. As fragments are not generated the risk of collateral damage is minimised.

The system provides 360° azimuthal multi-hit protection up to a hemispherical cover.

With a total weight of only 145 to 600 kg, depending on vehicle type, it is possible to mount AMAP-ADS in theatre within 2 hours and even apply the system to light vehicles.

Due to the very short reaction times AMAP-ADS defeats threats with velocities of up to 2000 m/s and those that are fired at very close distance.

Once again the ultra short System Reaction Time (SRT) means that AMAP-ADS is the one and only system that can defeat any threat which is launched from closer than 15m to the platform. This is achieved by a Micro-Second System working with.

  mid- and large caliber APFSDS
