Background

ADS Gesellschaft für aktive Schutzsysteme mbH was founded in 2006 as a spin-off of IBD’s development activities in the field of active protection systems.

The purpose of the company is to develop, produce and sell the active protection system AMAP-ADS (ADS stands for “Active Defence System”).

On 1 February 2011, Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH held a 74% -stake in the company, with the remaining 26% owned by Friedrich-Ulf Deisenroth.

ADS Gesellschaft für aktive Schutzsysteme mbH has already been awarded a first serial production order for the new system.
